About the book “Forever”:

Everything began when Dr. Karen Wuytens, designer, teacher and author posted a call on fb in which the theme of grief was the common thread.
That’s how she came in contact with five women who unexpectedly found themselves alone. Five mothers with children, each with their own grieving process. So much in common….

Through quiet gardens, attic rooms and closets, along walls and picture frames, as a photographer I was allowed to give the stories a face….In the beginning a bit as an embarrassed voyeur, but gradually confident and deeply touched by so much trust through the grief.
To be able to proudly leaf through a powerful and originally written book a year later….

The book was presented at the exhibition ‘In Absence’ on display from April 20 to May 11 at the MAD gallery of the PXL-MAD school of arts in Hasselt, BE.
